Quan

Biography

Quan is a Qu who lives in a cavern near Treno who acted as Vivi's grandfather for quite some time. Vivi speaks of Quan quite a bit, talking about how wise the man was in his lifetime. It seems as though Quan was once living with the rest of the Qu tribe in the marshes scattered around the world, but some kind of conflict between he and Quale drove him away.

Quan fished Vivi out of the sky after Vivi fell off a cargo ship early in his life. Quan was a grandfather to Vivi, but ironically Quan was only keeping Vivi around until he grew large enough to eat. He never got big enough, and in the meantime Quan imparted much of his wisdom and knowledge about the world to Vivi, helping him grow away from a puppet-like Black Mage and into a curious but naive youngster.
