Biography

Queen Brahne is Princess Garnet's mother, the Queen of Alexandria, and one of the main antagonists of Final Fantasy IX. Brahne is greedy, erratic, and has an insatiable appetite for power. However, she is also weak-willed and dimwitted, which allows for her to be easily manipulated. It is not a good combination for anybody involved. Brahne is first introduced during Garnet's 16th birthday celebration, in which the Tantalus Theatre Troupe comes to perform a play. As Tantalus makes their escape with Garnet in tow, Brahne orders the Prima Vista brought down. The group manages to make their escape, though damaged, and this begins the series of aggression from Brahne toward the crew.
