Think back to your previous battle with the vicious swordsman. Lightning, Curaja, and powerful physical attacks will be your best friends. Odin will consistently break out his favorite attack, Zantetsuken. If you're still under leveled, you probably won't survive that first strike as it blows 4000 off. Mixing it up, he'll bring a pretty moderate physical strike. Then he'll strike with an even more powerful Zantetsuken, marked by a different position of his sword. And just to throw even more pain at you, Holy is also in his arsenal.
Prepare the Phoenix Downs and Thundaga. Doling out big time damage is the name of the game. Cecil with his new weapon will be a big part. If you took on this fight without Rosa or Porom, you are as good as dead. Curaja is an absolute necessity. In fact, it might do good to have both of them in your party for this one to rapidly recover from the brutality of Zantetsuken. With Rydia or Palom, blast away with Thundaga. Have your heavy hitters smash Odin with their four-digit smashes. If you have Yang and have completed his trial already, here's where Deadly comes in real handy. If you have refrained from his trial, just have him smack down. If necessary, have one of your characters throw around the X-Potions you picked up on the way here. It'll take a lot of damage, rapid healing, and a little bit of luck, but he is beatable.
