Biography

From the village of Cosmo Canyon, Bugenhagen is a wise old man who seems to know all, and certainly does in the eyes of his adopted grandson, Nanaki.

He can hear the cries of the Planet, and is very concerned for the state of the world. Although he seems to shun most technology that would hurt the Planet, like the mako reactors, he does have his own machine that he can use to observe the Planet with.

Additional Information

He has long kept the true story behind the death of Nanaki's father from him, though one would imagine that Nanaki would not believe it anyway. The young fire-coloured beast thought that his father, Seto, had died a coward. However, Bugenhagen sends Nanaki on a quest through a cavern in Cosmo Canyon that reveals to him that his father died a warrior to the end. Once he has seen this, he sends Nanaki out into the world, to help save the Planet.

Later, Nanaki fears that Bugenhagen will pass away, but he promises that he will only go when it is time to.

There is a mysterious air about Bugenhagen still, however. Just who is he? He doesn't seem to be human. Is he, too, part Cetra?
