34. The Final Battle (Part 1)

The Lavos battle has three stages: The outside shell, the inner battle, and the Lavos Core. Depending on which path you take, you may get to begin at a different phase.

If you fly the Epoch to Lavos, you will enter the battle at the second phase, but you will not get a Save point or a gate. If you take the bucket at the End of Time, you'll begin the battle at the first phase and will get a gate out before the second phase. If you go through the Black Omen, it's as if you took the bucket.
